THE R&A ARCHIVE
The R&A takes its name from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, which traces its origins back 250 years. Although the golf club still exists to meet the needs of more than 2,400 international members, The R&A has grown apart to focus on its role as golf’s world governance and development body and organiser of The Open Championship.
The R&A Archive is a unique collection, consisting of over 900 hours of footage and programming in black & white and colour, dating back to 1904. Footage includes such legends as Bobby Jones, Sam Snead, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Nick Faldo, Severiano Ballesteros, Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia and many more.
