Terms and Conditions - Staff |
| These terms and conditions apply to the use of Staff passes by you, the Staff, (referred to as "you" or "your") issued by us, R&A Championships Limited ("The R&A", "we" or "us"). |
A. Preliminaries
1. The Staff passes are offered to you subject to these terms and conditions.
2. The R&A shall retain ownership of all Staff passes issued to you under these terms and conditions, which Staff passes may be recalled by The R&A at any time.

B. Use of Staff passes
1. The Staff pass is issued solely for the purpose of you carrying out your role/employment at The Open Championship 2008, as in accordance with your letter of appointment/confirmation from The R&A or pursuant to the terms of your employment received from your employer. The sale or other transfer of Staff passes is strictly prohibited.
2. The use of Staff passes in competitions or lotteries, for any other promotional purposes or in conjunction with the purchase of other goods or services is strictly prohibited.

C. Attendance at event
1. Mobile phones are not permitted within the paygates other than for use by Open Championship officials and for persons specifically authorised by The R&A. You will be asked to undergo security screening on entry to The Open Championship to ensure spectator security and safety and to ensure that you have no mobile phone on your person. Storage facilities will be provided at paygates and elsewhere within the grounds where mobile phones can be deposited. Open Championship officials, marshals and/or security personnel at the paygates will request that mobile phones be deposited in storage facilities. Any person found with a mobile phone within the paygates will be asked to deposit their phone in storage facilities. Failure to comply with requests made by Open Championship officials, marshals and/or security personnel may cause the holder to be removed from, or refused access to, The Open Championship. The R&A accepts no liability for loss or damage to mobile phones deposited in storage facilities unless caused by our negligence or other breach of duty. We strongly advise against taking a mobile phone to The Open Championship. Your co-operation is greatly appreciated. Failure to comply with requests made by security personnel may prevent you gaining entry to The Open Championship.
2. Staff passes shall be liable to be surrendered to The R&A (and the holder removed from, or refused access to, the course) if, in the opinion of The R&A (who shall at all times act reasonably in the exercise of their discretion), the behaviour of the holder is, or could be considered to be dangerous, offensive, a nuisance or annoying to other spectators, for example, if the holder appears to be under the influence of drink and/or drugs and/or is acting aggressively, or if the holder fails to obey any conditions of use, posted signs or instructions of Open Championship officials, marshals and/or security personnel including, without limitation, any verbal or written instructions or prohibitions on the use of mobile telephones, cameras, video, sound or image recorders, and/or global positioning systems or similar positioning, tracking or measurement devices.
3. The holder of each Staff pass grants permission to The R&A to utilise the holder's image or likeness in, or incidental to, any photograph or live or recorded television or in any other type of transmission or reproduction, in whole or in part, without compensation or credit.
